L’emplacement est idéal pour découvrir la ville à pied, la chambre est très confortable, et le petit-déjeuner absolument délicieux (confitures maison 😋) L’intérieur et l’extérieur de l’hôtel sont splendides. Il faut s’asseoir au jardin. Du pur bonheur !

☺ein wunderschönes, charmantes würdevolles altes Haus mit sehr schöner Anlage auch zum Draußensitzen, sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer, sehr ruhig, sauber, es hätte einen längeren Aufenthalt verdient - sehr gutes Frühstück mit phantastischen Marmeladen, die dort auch verkauft werden - wir wären gerne länger geblieben, auch wegen der Stadt (und dem Wein..)

☺Posizione tranquilla a due passi dal centro di Chinon. Presenza di parcheggio. Bagno ampio.

☹Rapporto qualità prezzo non idoneo. La stanza era vecchia e sgarruppata: mobili vecchi, muffa in bagno, letti scomodi. Atmosfera deprimente, per fortuna era per una notte sola. Eravamo nella dépendance e non nell'edificio principale.
Peccato, basterebbe rinnovare un po' e curare meglio i dettagli, perché la location merita.

Par contre, à moins de s'acquitter d'un tarif plutôt élevé (8€/nuit selon la période) pour stationner dans la cour (et sous réserve que les quelques places soient disponibles), il faut aller jusqu'à la place Jeanne d'Arc pour se garer. Ceci dit, elle n'est pas très loin.
L'accueil a été très bien, la chambre est propre et confortable, la salle de bains est spacieuse (chambre PMR).
Le petit-déjeuner est très bon, avec un choix de confitures maison aux parfums peu communs, des viennoiseries, un fromage local et des rillettes (petit bémol concernant ces dernières, dont le goût un peu particulier aurait dû m'alerter sur un problème de fraîcheur du produit qui m'a incommodé le reste de la semaine). Par contre, le fait de n'avoir comme seule boisson qu'un verre du jus de pomme local (très bon, ceci dit) était très insuffisant.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hôtel Diderot is full of character, with historic buildings, stone walls, old staircases, and inviting courtyards and garden corners. The location is convenient for walking into Chinon’s old town and down to the Vienne.

Breakfast was outstanding. The homemade jams are the star, with as much bread and jam as you could possibly want. It made breakfast something to look forward to every morning.

The main practical consideration is parking. The hotel’s parking area is very tight, and I wouldn’t recommend attempting it unless you have a compact car. The Joan of Arc parking is only a few minutes’ walk away and well worth using.

A charming place to stay in Chinon, with a breakfast we’ll remember fondly.

☺Breakfast provided another experience. Beautiful fresh breads and pastries with fruit, cheeses and excellent coffee. The terrace is a lovely spot to sit in the shade and read or have breakfast or indulge in wine and cheese.

 Verified Lovely cycle-friendly Hotel in Chinon - a short walk from the centre of town.

☺A lovely, comfortable Hotel, with a good welcome for cyclists.  Breakfast was lovely with a wide selection for marmalade/jam lovers.  There is dedicated space in the courtyard for secure storage of bikes.  We were greeted on arrival with a nice cold syrop - perfect after our cycle ride.  The staff were very helpful and friendly.

☹It's difficult to criticize this Hotel - they even provided a bicycle pump - if I have to criticize, I would have preferred a a pump with a pressure gauge - but that's just being fussy.

Leuk kamertje maar wel zeer klein.
Ruim voldoende ontbijt.
Eigen afgesloten parking, maar wel klein, voor een zevental auto's

☹We hadden een piepklein kamertje, te bereiken via een trap. Geen lift aanwezig.

☺L’accueil, le lieu, la chambre pas très grande mais confortable.
Hôtel situé dans le centre-ville donc on peut laisser la voiture sur place.
Le parking sécurisé (8 euros) mais il y a un grand parking à proximité si on ne veut pas payer.
Le petit -déjeuner : grand choix (avec du fromage de la région) et l’accueil de la dame qui gère les petits-déjeuners.

☹Peut-être que la chambre est un peu petite mais c’est un détail.
A noter également qu’en cas de fortes chaleurs, il n’y a pas de climatisation mais un ventilateur.
La chambre était au 1er étage avec un escalier assez étroit donc peu pratique pour des personnes âgées.
